Death by Consumption Map, 1870

From Statistical Atlas of the United States (1870)

Seeing the shockingly high numbers of death by tuberculosis throughout the United States in 1870 will make you mighty glad we now have a vaccine for it.

All prints are on matte, archival, acid-free paper, and all framed prints are framed in satin black wooden frames.

We've done a little bit of cleanup to prepare the image for printing, but this is a faithful reproduction of the source material, and bears any scratches, smudges, or tears that were in the original. How charming!

Note: The botanical watercolors originals are on the smaller side, so we recommend 16 x 20" and below. While larger prints are fine from several feet away, you may notice pixellation when viewing them up-close.
